A Panoramic View of New York Harbor on Thanksgiving Day ~ 24 Days after Hurricane Sandy

Just 24 days after Hurricane Sandy, a calm day in New York Harbor. The view from Brooklyn into the entrance of New York Harbor, this photo was taken on Thanksgiving Day.  The 69th Street Pier points toward Staten Island and off into the sunlight on the left you can see the faint lines of the Verrazano Bridge.  The 69th Street Pier was underwater during Hurricane Sandy on October 29th.   There is still so much work to be done in many areas of New York and New Jersey, thankfully many areas of New York City were spared.

This photo was taken with a iphone 4s in panoramic mode.
